After breakfast, we will travel 25 minutes outside of town to Rancho San Juan, your country home for the next 2 days. Here you will meet your mounts.
Horses will be matched according to personality and comfort for each rider. Your first ride will start around 10 and we ascend along beautiful country roads and trails up into the mountains. The pace of ride will include all gaits and you have the freedom to walk, trot, canter throughout the ride according to trail conditions.
We will have an enjoyable first ride to acclimate to the terrain. The trails wind around mountain vistas as we continue our 4+hour ride with spectacular views.
We return to the Ranch for an early afternoon Ecuadorian lunch (special dietary requirements can be accommodated throughout the trip). Relaxation, conversation, and special drinks wind down the day until a light dinner is served. Early to bed for a long ride the next day. (Liquor drinks available: local beer, mojitos, cuba libre for purchase of $2.00 each)
